Xmas came early for me this year. The bf got me the phone that I've been eyeing for quite a while. hehe. actually i've been eyeing quite a number of phones lah..LG secret, the i-phone and the Samsung Omnia. But nothing beats this baby after my(bf's) thorough research. heh.

But the whole phone buying experience was sucha drama episode that i almost killed all the M1 staffs who served us. Urghh. Lemme explain how the 2 days drama unfold.. Went to Jurong Point and enquired abt the price of the phone, trade in of the old nokia 6288 etc. Was very surprised my phone could fetch a 100 bucks when I only bought it for $123! haha! Sounds like a good deal. So went to IMM with the bf in hope of getting my phone but sudden realization that "shits. line's under my mum's name"..so went to ask the staffs how to go about purchasing a phone if my mum's not free to go down to M1. Staffs said something abt an authorization letter and mum's IC. Point taken.

So the next day, the bf and I went back to my place to get my charger(wanted to trade in phone remb?), went down to tampines mall to find my mum whois working there, got her IC and went to the M1 shop. Queued up and my hopes came crashing down when the staff told me that the Omnia 8GB is outta stock! Arghhh. I didn't want a 16GB. although only the 16GB phone comes in a gorgeous shade of white, but..i want the 8GB! its enough for me! So we just asked the staff to access our authorization letter and he gave the good-to-go sign.

And so, we hurried down to Paragon in a rather pissed off mood, what with irritating drivers along the way. Finally upon reaching the M1 stall, queued up again thank god they still have stock for the 8GB. But guess what?! The staff said because my mum's in Spore she has to be there with me..and he cannot allow me to buy the phone without my mum. At this point in time, I've had enough. I gave him a piece of my mind, told him that I already have the authorization letter and her IC and I don't see why i can't get the phone. Super close to strangling the guy. So he went to ask his manager and still came back and apologized to me and told me I still can't get the phone. So this time round, I flared up even more and my bf told the staff nicely to expedite the transaction for me. And thank god, he came back and told me to sit down and wait for my queue number...

I think its total bullshit when they told us that its run by different management, so tamp mall and IMM branches could allow the purchase without the owner of the line but Paragon doesn't allow. Wtf right!! haha. After more drama of the staffs not knowing the promotional price, as well as the trade in value became a mere $50 instead of a $100, I decided to keep my old phone. And I finally get to transfer the ownership of the line from my mum's to mine!

What a nerve wrecking experience! Thank god my bf was there to keep my temper in check. Hahaha. And what made my night was when my bf slipped a wad of notes into my wallet just before I made the payment. I had no idea he wanted to get the phone for me. It was actually an Xmas gift to reward myself for working hard this year! haha.

The past 2 weeks has been a blast! Being in a sunny, cool climate is inviting, not to mention having my boy around me 24/7.. Nothing beats that! I'm totally jetlagged..came back on saturday morning and i slept @ 9:30pm and woke at 8am the next day feeling really fresh! And then i napped at 6pm to 10pm last night and couldn't sleep till 2am..and woke at 7am feeling really awake this morning! I'm gonna tahan and not sleep till my bedtime tonight..so no naps for me. So i guess i better not stay home in case i fall asleep at weird timings again. *shrugs*

Thank god for my indo public holiday today. I really planned my leave really well. Maxed out my 2 weeks of compliance leave in the US and still be able to rest and relax over the weekend as well as today! Going out for a haircut later and prolly pedicure later. My hair's a total mess and my nails battered. That's what u get for wearing sneakers for 2 whole weeks! My feet can hardly breathe.

Its been a long while since i last blogged..kinda forgot about this blog. haha.

I'm home nursing a cold, sore throat and fever. Boohoo. This is the first time I've taken an MC since I started work 3 and a half months ago. Time really flies..next week I would have been working officially for 4 months! Thank god tmr is another indo public holiday for me..so 1 day of MC gets me 2 days of rest..not bad at all. heh. Went to work yesterday despite feeling out of sorts since I woke up..was contemplating whether to just stay home but felt that I needed to be responsible since its month end..and month ends are the busiest time for the team! But in the end, I felt really shitty and left earlier at 5pm..was feeling very weak and i totally crashed in bed when i got home..

Anyways, I'll be leaving for the US in thREeEe days time! woohoo!! Gonna be going up to San Francisco with my boy and his family to attend his brother's wedding! Can't wait to do some sightseeing, shopping and some chill out time with my boy! My much needed 2 weeks break from the office is finally here! I'm gonna savour every little minute of it. heh. Will update more on the trip when I'm back!

Gonna spend the afternoon resting in bed and nursing myself back to the pink of health! Tata~

Crossing the causeway on a saturday evening is suicidal. You feel sticky. the mad crowd. the shoving to get on buses. urghh. But its been years since I hit JB for seafood and saturday was kinda rewarding for me. Yummy chilli crab and "man-tou" gets my vote anytime. Not to mention, great company! Meet up again soon guys!

Took an express bus with Zhilun back to bugis instead of taking the train which would have taken us 1.5 hours or more to get to the east. It was great catching up with him. Entertaining me with stories about the SIA lifestyle and all. Then we went for Rochor beancurd at bugis. It was shiok! But that guy was mad. He bought us beancurd, soyabean, butterfly, you teow and ham ching peng x 2! At 11pm in the night somemore! omg! haha. Then we cabbed back home. Shagged but really nice meeting up with friends that i haven't seen in close to a year!

Today, went for a haircut(yes..after almost 12 weeks) and coloured my hair blue black!! Wanted to colour my hair in that shade since last year! And since its still kinda fashionable to be spotting jetblack hair, so why not? Kinda look a bit SIA-ish. But my hair's a little too short for my liking now. Boohoo. I wanted shorter but not too short. Hope it grows out faster..

Then met the bestie and guess what? Both of us headed to the IT fair @ Suntec! Boy, was it crowded! But we had sucha fun time checking out the gadgets..and being the clueless, computer-retards, all we could do was to compare the prices and weight of the laptop? haha. But of course, after 1 hour of walking around, we knew a little more..such as comparing the specs, hd, ram etc. Misa got herself a Toshiba laptop with a digital camera thrown in for free! We love freebies! I was just there to lend her a helping hand..cuz her previous laptop kinda "died" on her..

After the IT fair, we went to Novo to buy shoes! Novo's having GREAT sale now. I got a pair of pumps for $15 and she got herself a pointed shoe for $18. Yaay! And we had yami yoghurt to end off the day! This is the BEST weekend I've had since I started work! :)

I'm a SATC convert! Omg. All these years, I've been missing out on the series. My baby promised and even wants me to wait for him to watch the whole series together! What a sweetie he is! hehehe.

Went to catch the midnight show with Misa on friday! We laughed, smiled, and sniffed with the cast together. I don't mind catching the movie again. I love it!

Such nice and true friendships. Girlfriends who will always be there for you no matter what. :)

I'm thoroughly sick and tired of work! Sick of getting blamed all the time for something I did not do or when I followed instructions and still get the blame! Where's the fairness in that? Every single day, someone just has to f*cked up my day. The worse was on Thursday, when my com hung and my excel info got deleted! I stayed back to redo the whole excel that I spent the day doing. Lesson Learnt: Always SAVE ur work! So now, every single hour or so, I would be pressing Ctrl + S.

Urghh. I hate work!

But after having sucha bad week @ work, at least some good came out of it. I managed to secure my compliance leave in August! Woohoo! 2 weeks off work. And the best thing is, I'm gonna meet my baby again! In another part of the world. This is sooo exciting! I can't wait! Please let everything go according to plans..

Now gotta SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!!

But GSS has just started! Must not be tempted! Must not go to town anymore! haha.

Went to Orchard last saturday with Tim and window shopped the entire afternoon till night! Had so much fun checking out clothes at everywhere. And even checking out the sales at Burberry, Coach & Raoul for fun. Only got myself a high waisted skirt from the GG>5 sale for work. And prior to shopping on saturday, I went to town on my off day last last Tuesday and went shopping as well! Town is sooo nice & quiet on a weekday..especially when the rest of the world is working and I'm having an off day simply becoz' I dun follow singapore public holidays. That's a great thing as well, isn't it? Got myself a top from GG>5..they were having a 20% pre-GSS-sales..haha..that's quite dumb! It doesn't justify the GSS if shops are always having sales 24/7/365.(That's what my baby & his fren Andrew loves to joke about!) And also bought another top from Zara..no sale on that one..and bought my baby a vest for winter! and a tee shirt for him for fun! Already packd and sent over to him...hope he receives it soon!

I really wonder how everyone seems to have a never-ending-supply of money and be able to splurge on branded bags and wallets? And YET still be able to have SAVINGS? Just shopping like that and I already feel so broke. Not to mention spending on food, transport, insurance, hp bills, giving parents money etc.. I need a side income!

A must-watch for all Patrick Dempsey fans!
